Privacy policy

Protecting the personal data we process is very important to us. We process personal data of our clients, of prospective clients with whom we have made or wish to make contact, of recipients of any newsletters, and of all other persons who contact us. When processing personal data in the Netherlands, we have been bound by the General Data Protection Regulation since 25 May 2018. In this privacy policy we explain how we protect your privacy and how we handle your personal data. Do you have questions about this privacy policy? This privacy policy explains how you can contact us about it.

Who processes your personal data?

This privacy policy concerns the processing of personal data by Mandelo as the controller. Our company is established in Amersfoort at Nijverheidsweg-Noord 66B, 3812 PM Amersfoort. You can reach us by telephone during office hours on 033 798 1177 or by e-mail at info@mandelo.nl.

Which personal data do we process?

Personal data is data that says something about you or data that can be linked to you. Everything that can be done with your personal data, for example collecting, storing, using, passing on or deleting your data, is referred to as the 'processing' of personal data. We process personal data that you have provided to us yourself, for example by creating an account on our website. This concerns contact details and other personal data. For example your name, address, postcode, town or city, telephone number, e-mail address, company name, date of birth and other information that is necessary in view of our services. This may also be personal data that we obtain from other sources, such as personal data from the Commercial Register of the Chamber of Commerce, the Land Registry (Kadaster) and personal data that is available on public (business) websites. We may also receive personal data about you from counterparties.

For which purposes and on what basis do we process your personal data?

In order to carry out our work properly, we need your personal data and we also have to process it. We process your personal data where this is necessary for the performance of the agreement under which you have instructed us, or when an account is created on our website. In addition, your contact details are entered into our client system and may, if you have given us permission to do so, be used for sending newsletters, for example. Depending on the nature of your matter, personal data other than your contact details may also be necessary. We may also process your personal data where we have a legitimate interest and do not make a disproportionate intrusion into your privacy.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. You can read which cookies we use, for what purposes and how you can manage your preferences in our cookie policy.

How do we handle your personal data?

We have taken measures to secure your personal data and to prevent misuse. For example, we ensure that the system in which we store your personal data is secured.

How long do we retain your personal data?

We monitor very carefully that all your data is stored and protected with due care. We apply a retention policy that sets out how long we retain personal data. We do not retain your data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was processed. We comply with the statutory retention periods. Client files containing personal data are retained by us for up to a maximum of 10 years after the assignment has ended, unless there are reasons to retain the file for longer.

Do we share your personal data with third parties?

In principle, we do not share your personal data with third parties. Sometimes, however, it may be necessary to share your personal data with third parties after all. For example, it may be necessary to share your personal data with judicial authorities or with a counterparty. In addition, it may be necessary to share your personal data in order to conclude an agreement or a notarial deed. Data may also be shared with contractors engaged by us, such as a bailiff. Furthermore, there may be statutory obligations under which we must pass on your personal data to third parties. If a court ruling obliges us to provide personal data to third parties, we will have to comply with it. Your personal data is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Viewing or amending your personal data?

Would you like to know which personal data we have recorded about you? You can request from Mandelo an overview of the personal data that has been or is being processed about you. If you consider that your personal data has been processed inaccurately or incompletely, or if you consider it unnecessary for certain personal data to have been processed, you can submit a request for amendment, supplementation or deletion to Mandelo. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and you have the right to data portability. In addition, you have the right to withdraw consent given for the processing of your personal data. This is the case, for example, with the receipt of our newsletter. If you send us such a request, we will provide you with information about the actions we have taken as soon as possible, but in any event within 4 weeks of receiving your request. For questions or complaints about the processing of personal data by Mandelo, you can send an e-mail to info@mandelo.nl or address your written requests to:
